We met right after I got off the plane. We had hu (a thick, mushy local dish), stinky tofu, and chestnut cakes at Yongtai Garden, and your younger sister was with us too.
I brought a waxberry and lychee cake. We sat in the cinema lobby, drinking Guming (a popular Chinese bubble tea brand) and chatting. Later, we went to Popmilk and ordered the chocolate flavor there. It was also at Popmilk that I first had the idea to write something for you, so I took your phone.
Now I’ve finished watching the videos you recorded with my phone when you were bored—how can you be so cute!!!!!! Yet you didn’t even get suspicious that day. After that, we went shopping at Metro (a renowned international hypermarket chain). Shopping at the supermarket is really one of the most fun things to do! We had dinner at Pizza Hut in the evening, and then rode e-bikes home together.
You said you’d take me to try something delicious, and then you brought me to that old hand-made noodle shop near your home—it was really tasty! In the afternoon, we went to your place to enjoy the air conditioning. When I was about to leave in the evening, you accompanied me to buy Texiang Bread (a local bakery brand), and I even got my favorite bread from childhood (I hadn’t seen it in ages).
We went to CXY’s house to make cakes—wow, the Basque cheesecake and cookies were a huge success! Could we be baking geniuses? In the evening, we made spaghetti together; it was such a happy moment. We took photos too.
July 16, 2025: We went to eat extremely delicious pickled cabbage fish rice noodles! I also took you to the place where I lived when I was a kid. In the evening, you helped me dye my hair at the hotel, and we also went to Yide (a shopping mall/area) to buy snacks. But I kept looking for egg waffles with Portuguese tarts and couldn’t find them at all—(I never thought you’d still remember that). That night, you sent me a message saying, "Have a great time... I love you. Enjoy this trip well, my brave 18-year-old, and my brave you—you’re amazing."
July 25, 2025: On the second day after I got back, I gave you the things I brought for you. We had a light lunch at Baolong (a shopping mall/complex) at noon.
July 28, 2025: We ate Taiwanese rice balls in front of No. 2 Middle School—they tasted just like the ones I had in junior high.
July 29, 2025: I bought a new box of hair dye, and you came to my house to help me dye my hair.
July 30, 2025: We went to a KTV.
We had the food from that alley I’d been craving for ages. I waited in line while you went to get your hair washed. The army stew was absolutely delicious too, and the corn pancake you ordered was simply amazing—how come I never knew this restaurant had such tasty dishes before! In the afternoon, we went to your place again, and I took videos of you unboxing your items. Once you finished doing your makeup, we went to Baolong to do diamond painting in the afternoon; we made the cute Vex and Kitty designs. In the evening, we celebrated your birthday in advance—I bought you a bouquet of flowers, and we took beautiful photos. Yet again, we had to say goodbye.
Blue star flower, violet, pink freesia, orange freesia, green forest chrysanthemum, purple dante chrysanthemum, oil painting chrysanthemum, plateau red rose, Manta rose, pink carnation, Sophie Baby carnation, orange Barbie carnation, White Snow Mountain rose, Su Fen rose, light pink spray carnation, Refraction rose, chamomile, green spirit grass, red bean (as a floral filler).
You came to the airport to pick me up.
We went to visit Sanmao's exhibition. It was small, but really nice—especially that bone display. After that, I went to pick up my luggage and met you at the high-speed rail station.
I was just about to go out in the evening when I saw your message saying you were passing by my neighborhood. That’s how we met again, and then we went to Baolong to hang out.
We went to the trail of Baiyun Mountain—we’d been wanting to go there for ages! We really walked all the way around the mountain, and while we walked, we tried to figure out which building was which. After going down the mountain, we bought a cup of green grass jelly that tasted like it had gone bad; later, we got a new good one. You bought a bowl of bozai gao (a traditional Cantonese steamed rice cake), and that was my first time trying it. After that, we went to the night market at Tengda Center. You said you’d seen egg waffles with Portuguese tarts there before—I never thought you’d remember that all this time. We finally got to eat them, and they were really delicious!
In the evening, we went to play at the children's playground in Jiangnan Villa. It was really fun! Moreover, when you were with me, someone even pushed me on the swing. We also took some hilarious videos and climbed the "Mount Everest" (a playful reference to a small climbing structure). It was an extremely happy night. When I'm with you, I always have so much to talk about—we truly went from chatting about the flowers on the balcony to talking about the universe. I love you ❤️
On my birthday, we had dinner at Wanda Plaza with two kids. After dinner, we sent the two little ones to play at the amusement facilities, and then we wandered around aimlessly in Wanda Plaza. Every now and then, we passed by them and said hello—it really made us feel like parents! We saw an extremely cute Labrador retriever! Later, we sat in DQ while I looked at the birthday gift you gave me. Finally, we had Xian Yu Xian (a renowned Taiwanese dessert chain specializing in taro-based treats), and it was still as delicious as ever.
We made desserts again—aaa, Wang Qinnan, the dessert master, made upgraded delicious cookies! I even took some to school, and they were really tasty. Although my cake was a bit of a flop, I was still so happy making it with you. In the evening, we went to Haidilao (a renowned Chinese hot pot chain), and thanks to CXY for treating us. It’s time to say goodbye again, and every time it’s you who sees me off.
